What is the Teflon protection?

What is the AntiVibraSound system?

  • Each Mvac central vacuum is equipped with our AVS system that eliminates vibrations, with specially engineered components.
  • This system reduces operating sound level to a minimum.

What is the retractable hose system? Can I integrate it into my actual central vacuum system?

  • The unique retractable hose system allows you to pull out the desired length of hose and start your vacuum directly at the inlet.
  • When you’re finished, the hose retracts quickly, due to the exceptional power of your Mvac central vacuum. The hose is drawn into the piping system, installed within the walls or your home.
  • The retractable hose system can easily be installed during construction or renovation in all types of constructions. It is also possible to integrate it into your actual central vacuum system.

Also, make sure that:

  • You have read the complete owner’s manual

What is the Mvac one year satisfaction guarantee?

Is it recommended to install an exterior exhaust from my central vacuum system?

When possible, it is best to install an exterior exhaust from your central vacuum system, because:

  • This exhaust will considerably decrease the central vacuum sound level.
  • It allows, if there are any punctures on your bag or filter, to evacuate bacteria and mold outside.
  • It also allows the heat, produced by the power unit motor(s), to be redirected outside and not in the room where your central vacuum is installed.

Is it possible to clean the permanent filter of my Mvac central vacuum cleaner?

Yes, to clean the permanent filter:

  • Do not remove the filter
  • Wrap the filter and lower portion of the unit body within a large plastic bag. Hold it tightly around the vacuum unit with one hand.
  • With your other hand, gently shake the filter.
  • Wait a few seconds for the dust to settle before removing the plastic bag.

Does my central vacuum dirt receptacle require any maintenance?

  • Occasional maintenance of the dirt receptacle is necessary to ensure constant, lasting performance of your central vacuum: we recommend that it be emptied at least every season, depending on frequency of use.
  • To empty the dust receptacle, first disconnect your vacuum cleaner from its power source.
  • Release the two clamps, lower and empty the canister.
  • Replace it and seal by refastening the metal clamps.

Does my central vacuum motor(s) require any lubrication?

  • No, Mvac motors contain two carbon brushes which will wear normally, and may eventually require replacement.
  • We therefore recommend that you have your central vacuum unit and motors inspected by a service center every 5-6 years.

What is hybrid technology?

  • An authorized dealer can provide professional advice

If I use my Mvac central vacuum with a bag, when do I have to change it?

  • Change the bag when the one in place is full.
  • Frequency will depend on use of the unit.
  • For the M50, M90, M110, M120 and M140 vacuum models, the Information center and GAMMA Indicator will indicate when to change the bag.
  • Use only genuine Mvac replacement bags. Failure to do so could void the warranty on your vacuum unit.

Are there some materials, beside liquids, that my central cleaning system cannot vacuum?

  • We strongly recommend against vacuuming abrasive materials such as cement, plaster and gyproc dust.
  • This fine dust could work its way into the motor, causing considerable damage.
  • Should you do so inadvertently, immediately shake the filter and, as a precautionary measure, contact your authorized service center to determine the extent of the damage to the vacuum unit.
  • Remember that in order for your warranty to remain valid, maintenance of the motor and repairs to the unit itself must be carried out by an authorized service center, using original Mvac or Trovac parts.
